Description: Pangolins are timid animals, it rolls up into a ball when threatened, using its hard scales as an armour, protecting the soft underside of its body from predators. They are said to coil up so tightly that they cannot be unrolled. Its diet consists mainly of ants and termites which they dig from nests and mounds then use their long tongues to feed. The Malayan Pangolin's biggest threat are humans. The meat and other body parts of this mammal is traded on an international scale.
