A undescribed coremiocnemis tarantula sits patiently in its burrow ready to make a meal out of any small creatures which venture close enough. These arachnids are greatly under threat from poachers who sell them to collectors and to the pet trades. (Note: special permission was acquired from local authorities to photograph these spiders in their natural habitat. Great care was taken to ensure that the spiders were not harmed or stressed in any way. Do not support the illegal sale or trade of these spiders). |
