Ray, a young Bajau drying seaweed (euchema cottonii) on a floating fish farm. Cultivated and harvested twice a year in the clear tropical waters of the Celebes Sea, many Bajau, Suluks and Tidung supplement their income by selling seaweed or 'agar-agar' to nearby processing plants. Other kinds of edible seaweed is sold in wet markets as food. |
