Description: A Reticulated Python in threat posture. This sub-adult was in the midst of shedding its skin when discovered. Very aggressive, it kept striking at the camera, possibly due to impaired vision as the eye cap had not yet come off. Reticulated pythons are the world's longest snakes and reptile. An excellent swimmer, these non-venomous snakes catch prey with their teeth, constrict, then swallow them whole.
