Description: Penan women traveling down Ba' Akah river. For the Penan of Long Benali, the only mode of transportation to the nearest town (Long Lellang) is by river. Ba' Akah and Ba' Benali are full of treacherous rapids and during rainstorms, metre high waves can easily overturn canoes. Crocodiles have been spotted in this river on occasion.
