Description: This epiphytic coelogyne orchid (possibly a radicosa) was photographed in a moist lower montane rainforest in Kalimantan. These and many other wild orchids are very much sought after in these parts by poachers who sell them to collectors. It is not uncommon to see large sign boards erected in village entrances with gentle warning messages to would-be poachers.
