Location: Long Kawa, Sarawak
Description: The nymph of these Shield Bugs come in various colors depending on the different stages of its life cycle. They are sometimes called Stink Bugs as they can produce a foul smelling liquid from their glands as a defense mechanism when disturbed. As with all other hemipterans, these insects possess sucking mouth parts called a rostrum or proboscis, which they use to pierce plants to suck out plant liquids like sap.
