Description: Rafflesia Kerrii, the second largest rafflesia after Rafflesia Arnoldii. These flowers live as parasites on host plants which are actually a species of vine called tetrastigma. It takes about 9 months for a bud to transform to a flower in full bloom. These flowers last only a few days depending on weather conditions. To most indigenous people in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak, the rafflesia is known as bunga padma or pakma.
