Description: Parkia trees with mature seed pods overhanging the Tembeling River. Parkia speciosa is locally known as 'petai'. It's seed can be cooked in many different ways and even eaten raw. Its a local delicacy loved by many and hated by few due to it's strong smell, thus it's other name, 'stink bean'. Parkia seeds contain a lot of vitamins and has a high medicinal value.
