Description: A traditional Temuan house in the interior of Negeri Sembilan. A typical Temuan house is built using material found in the forest such as bamboo, rattan and woven attap (palm leaves). The orang asli Temuan are the third largest tribe of indigenous peoples living in Peninsular Malaysia and are a sub-group of the Proto-Malay. Although many have moved to nearby towns and cities to opt for a more modern lifestyle, some still maintain a traditional way of living in the interior.
