Description: Somewhere deep in the East Kalimantan forest, under a massive boulder lies an ancient grave site where early Lun Dayeh and Dayak tribes would lay their dead. The locals call it 'Batu Pembusukan Mayat'. Standing at the bottom center of the photo is Pak Johannas, a Lun Dayeh (who also happens to be the photographer's 'bapak angkat'). Ancient and undated human bone parts, broken pieces of porcelain and ceramic earthenware, beads and shell are still found under this boulder. The locals strongly believe this sacred place is guarded by ancient spirits.
