Species: symphalangus syndactylus
Location: Fraser's Hill, Pahang
Description: A Siamang Gibbon feeding on wild fruit and leaves. Siamang are unique compared to other gibbons. Two of their digits on each foot are partially fused together by a membrane (thus its species name, syndactylus). They also possess a gular sac on their throats which inflates, giving them the ability to make their loud calls. Siamang are much larger and darker in color compared to other gibbons.
