Description: Damselflies are predatory insects, feeding on smaller insects such as mosquitoes and flies. Even in its aquatic larval stage, its carnivorous nymphs prey on mayfly nymphs, daphnias and an assortment of small aquatic life. Featured here is a Common Bluetail feeding on a fly.
