Description: The ethnic Ida'an (or Idahan) have been living and harvesting swiftlet birds nests in Madai Caves for centuries. Using the most basic equipment made up of bamboo poles, ropes and rattan ladders, the Idahan, who own exclusive rights to harvest here, risk their lives climbing great heights to get to these nests. The locals call birds nest 'the second gold'.
